FALL WINTER

/

2016 - 2017

The golden imagination of the roaring Twenties is the background of this collection characterized by gracefulness and energetic vitality. We find the sparkle and joie de vivre of those years in iridescent silver surfaces with minute embroidered details, in elongated silhouettes and floral patterns inspired by the decorative motifs of Alfons Mucha’s Art Nouveau. Mink and swakara lamb turn into couture gowns with intarsia blooming flowers like luxuriant calla lilies, bird of paradise flowers, lilies of the valley, orchids and poppies.

The contemporary soul of the collection is in the plain, graphic silhouettes of double-breasted coats and Dior-inspired waisted flared-hem coats. Overcoats and calf-length vests, both straight fit and draped, are embellished with contrasting mink sashes defining the waistline.

The “IT” coat of the season is the minimal swakara lamb or mink coat: strictly in one color, with a big notched collar or just round neck, it is suitable for every occasion and outfit, without ever changing its original luxury.
The woman who wears Fabio Gavazzi can also choose lightweight yet really warm capes and coats in pure cashmere combined with sable, chinchilla or mink details, which are flexible and easy-to-wear in hectic city life.

There has always been accurate and introspective research into color selection, yet color has a leading role more than ever this season. The dominant hues are pastel colors ranging from mint green to baby pink, from snow white to sky blue, skillfully balanced and brightened by flashes of Tiffany blue, dusty red, emerald green, cobalt blue, and finally velvet mink’s rich black and the finest lynx’s optical white. This overview is completed by the natural colors of Barguzinsky sable, from dusty yellowish and grayish brown to shiny silvery dark brown.

It is the meeting of different evocative ideas, blending spectacular and ordinary elements, both luxe and unforced: a unique and sophisticated style, with stunning visual impact. This is Fabio Gavazzi 2016-17.
